I was just noticing another thing telling women what supplements to take for hormonal issues. My advice before taking any of them is first of all try giving up gluten first. Primarily wheat. I gave up gluten for another reason but the immediate impact it had on me was to stop dead all my hormone issues. I stopped having all premenstrual issues immediately. Since then I have pretty much given up all carbohydrates. While I am not diabetic nor have I ever have been, it is a condition I never want to get, but the problems associated with carbohydrates are massive - apparently it is even associated with cancer, dementia, and of course, liver disease, diabetes, heart disease etc etc...
I still eat plenty of veg, like avocados, cabbage, cauliflower, brussel sprouts, broccoli, chard, olives, tomatoes.... fruits like berries, pomegranates and some citrus. I also eat a lot of fermented foods like pickles, sauer kraut, kim chi, yogurt...
I regularly have a little piece of no added sugar chocolate. Otherwise sugar but mainly carbohydrates are treat foods relegated to birthdays and special occasions, although thanks giving can be easily kept low carb if you want.
You don't even have to eat a lot of meat to be low carb, we eat a lot of antipasto, bruschetta and and tree nuts too.
